Why STMNT Is San Francisco's Most-Booked Production Studio
The Peerspace Open Door Award recognizes the most popular spaces on the platform by city and category, determined by booking volume, guest reviews, and host responsiveness.
STMNT Studios has ranked #1 in the San Francisco production category three consecutive years. It is the result of the teams that booked it, used it, and came back. You don’t have to take our word for it. The ranking is public, the reviews are public, and you can read both on our Peerspace listing before booking anything.
Our almost 3000 square feet studio space was meant to offer more than just a cyclorama (infinity wall), like most photo studios offer. The pain of moving sets from one location to another and rather stale space environments got us thinking. Our studio offers a variety of 5 different studio sets to shoot your interviews, headshots, portraits, narrative film, products and all other creative ideas you can come up with. See inside our SF photo and video studio here.
Interview Studio in San Francisco
Every setup was designed around what brands and production teams actually need on a shoot day, not retrofitted from an event space or office. We’ve swapped some sets out over the years based off of this booking data and client feedback.
The studio includes 11 distinct backdrops for founder videos, executive interviews, corporate video production, testimonials, recruiting content, and brand campaigns. The range allows for visual variety across a multi-subject or multi-series shoot without moving locations.
For brands producing thought leadership content, employee culture videos, or executive interview series, that matters. Five speakers in five different environments, shot in a half-day, all from the same address in San Francisco. A marketing team can walk away with what looks like multiple locations worth of content without the logistics and cost of actually moving.
Most corporate interview shoots require one setup for an entire day. This studio is built to support the ones that need more. See how brands have put it to use in our portfolio.
Podcast Studio in San Francisco
The studio includes a dedicated setup for podcast recordings, fireside chats, and panel-format video content. Audio-controlled environment configured for one to three speakers, with lighting designed for video, not photography.
If you are producing a podcast series and want a consistent visual identity across episodes, the same controlled environment, the same lighting setup, the same framing, the space is available for ongoing or per-session booking. Built for video from the start. Not repurposed for it.
Production Studio Rental in San Francisco
The space is available for half-day and full-day bookings directly through Peerspace. No production package required. You book the studio, bring your crew, and use the space.
If you want the production team alongside the space, STMNT handles direction, camera, lighting, audio, and post-production from the same address. Most repeat clients go this route: one team, one location, one invoice. It is how in-house marketing teams at tech and fintech companies scale video output without adding headcount or managing multiple vendors across a single project.
For brand video production in San Francisco at any scale, it is the most efficient path from brief to final delivery.
Pricing and availability are current on our Peerspace listing. For full-service production bookings, book a call to start a project, and we will scope the shoot together.
If you are a video production company in San Francisco looking for a content studio for client shoots, the space is available for crew-only bookings as well.

Why We Built It
When I signed the lease in 2022, I was not thinking about awards.
I was thinking about stairs. At the time I was shooting a lot of interviews as a one-man-band, schlepping gear up and down three-story Victorians, dealing with COI requirements from SF corporate buildings that took longer to navigate than the shoot itself, parking four blocks away from downtown locations because that is just what downtown San Francisco is. Every shoot felt like it started with an obstacle course before the camera even came out of the bag.
I wanted to solve that. A studio with multiple distinct video backdrops under one roof, so a brand could shoot what felt like three different locations in a half-day, without moving equipment across the city. After months of searching I found the right space, spent five months building it out, and listed it on Peerspace.
COVID cleared a lot of people and businesses out of San Francisco. We had a slow start. But we stayed open, kept building, and kept improving the setups.
Four years later: STMNT Studios is Peerspace's #1 production space in San Francisco, three years running~~
I did not do any formal market research before signing that lease. No business plan, no demand forecasting. I went with my gut on what I was missing as a producer in this city and built the thing I wished existed. Sometimes that is all a business plan needs to be.
Check our Peerspace reviews before booking. That is the most honest picture of what working with us looks like. If the studio is the right fit, reach out to book a call with us.
